Depressive Psychosis
In some cases, major depression can cause episodes of delusions and hallucinations. This type is often called psychosis or major depression with psychotic features. Delusions are closely held believes that do not make sense or are clearly false. But for people with depressive psychosis, they are very true and obvious. Hallucinations are those that you can feel, taste, smell, hear, or see although they do not actually exist. Depressive psychosis can also trigger physical issues like slow movements. [5]
