The 7 Stages of Dementia

Moderate Dementia

Patients in this stage of dementia might require some support to keep their daily lives functioning as usual. The main symptom of this phase is the inability to recall and major information, such as their address, name, and names of other people in the family. These people might become completely disoriented about the place and time, have some difficulties making important decisions, and forget some basic facts about them, such as name, date of birth, job, and more. Though moderate dementia could interfere with many important functions, people at this phase don’t actually require help with these tasks, such as eating or taking a shower. However, the exact symptoms can vary from people to people. [5]
