Moderately Severe Dementia
When a person with dementia starts to forget all of the names of their primary healthcare provider, spouse, kids, and close friends, he or she is most likely to enter the next stage – moderately severe dementia. During this time, those patients might require full-time care and support. They might be typically unaware of the surroundings, unable to remember any current events, and have distorted memories of their own history. Family members and healthcare providers need to look for their loss of willpower, delusional behaviors, agitation, aggression, anxiety, or obsessive thoughts. In addition, people in stage 6 might start to wander, experience insomnia, and have hallucinations at any time of the day. [6]
