Chemotherapy and Radiation
Chemotherapy and radiation therapy are two common techniques that are often used for treating cancer. They work by eliminating cancer cells. Your doctor might use those methods to suppress the development of white blood cells in leukocytosis. In chemotherapy, a single drug or many drugs would be directly injected into your bloodstream to target specific cancer areas or attack white blood cells. Radiation therapy, on the other hand, uses a high dose of radiation to get rid of cancer cells and shrink tumors. However, this is not the best treatment option because there are many side effects associated with those therapies, such as loss of hair, loss of appetite, extreme fatigue, nausea, weight loss, as well as many mental issues. In addition, you might feel very painful during the treatment, which can last many weeks or months to get rid of affected cells completely. [13]
