Leukapheresis
Leukapheresis is a technique in which your doctor will reduce the number of white blood cells. Firstly, blood will be taken from the body with an IV. After that, the excess white blood counts will be separated with some special techniques and removed. The exact removed amount will depend on your level of intensity and condition. A more severe case will require the removal of more white blood cells. After the procedure, you might choose to get back the white blood cells or give it to the lab for further tests. [14]
