Whenever you feel a painful sensation in the back or abdomen during a Kegel exercise, it might indicate that you are performing wrongly. Keep in mind that the muscles of your sides, buttocks, back, and abdomen should be loose even when you are contracting the pelvic floor muscles. Also, do not overdo any exercises and work out the muscles too hard. Otherwise, they would become tired and cannot meet the basic functions. [5]
