Colorectal Cancer
People with Crohn’s disease may be at a higher risk of colorectal cancer than the general population. This is especially true for people with the condition for more than 8 years. However, keep in mind that most individuals never have colorectal cancer. To help detect cancer early, you should visit your doctor regularly for health check-ups. Common signs of colorectal cancer may include unexpected weight loss, fatigue, weakness, abdominal cramping or pain, bloody or dark stools, bleeding in the rectum, as well as persistent constipation or diarrhea.
