Breathing Issues
Just like the weakness of muscles in your legs or arms, this symptom can also happen in your lungs and respiratory system. As a result, many people with Guillain–Barré syndrome might develop breathing issues, such as shortness of breath or respiratory failure. They cannot breathe adequately to keep a healthy level of carbon dioxide and oxygen in the blood. This is a very dangerous condition that requires immediate medical attention. In some cases, the symptoms would be complicated by some other medical issues, such as severe infections, pneumonia, bleeding digestive tract, and blood clots.
