This helps the nerve fit in the surrounding bony corridor better. The effects are best when the drugs are taken during the first few days when you noticed the symptoms.
– Antiviral medications: The effectiveness of antiviral drugs in treating Bell’s palsy is still controversial. When taken with corticosteroids, they can show some positive effects. Many doctors often prescribe acyclovir or valacyclovir in severe cases. [7]
