Spinal Osteoporosis
Another degenerative sign of scoliosis is the presence of osteoporosis or bone mass loss. This condition mostly affects your upper spine and results in brittle bones with collapse and fracture of the vertebrae. That’s why many people with scoliosis might have a hunchback look and uneven shoulders as said earlier. Keep in mind that this sign is much more common in Asian and Caucasian women with thin or slight builds, particularly those who often sit for an extended period. Also, a lack of minerals in daily diets would also increase the risks. Osteoporotic fractures would be seen easily on X-rays and diagnosed by a chiropractor or family doctor. [10]
