Curled Fingers
Another possible sign of alcoholic cirrhosis is a condition known as Dupuytren’s contracture. It is the shortening and thickening of the palmar fascia, which is the tissue connecting various parts of your palm. This results in issues with finger flexibility and causes them to curl. You often see this permanent change in the pinky and ring finger. It might also be followed by itching, aching, or pain. People with the condition might have difficulty holding items due to reduced grip strength. Curled fingers can also happen in smokers, patients with diabetes, or workers with repeated hand motions.
