Nail Changes
People with cirrhosis might notice some changes in their nails. Those parts might develop pale horizontal stripes or bands running across your nail bed. This is the direct result of insufficient albumin production, which is mostly made by your liver. You would press over the nails and see if the bands disappearing before returning quickly. Another major change is the clubbing or enlargement and rounding of your nailbed. This condition only occurs in severe cases and might look like a drumstick.
