Exercise
When you work out intensely for an extended period, muscle twitches and spasms may occur. Studies have suggested two possible reasons for this problem. Firstly, exercises would result in muscle fatigue. As a result, cramping and twitching can happen in overworked muscle fibers. Secondly, excessive sweating during exercise can trigger an electrolyte imbalance. Without these elements, muscles cannot contract and relax properly. The legs and arms are mostly prone to this cause, especially the most worked groups like biceps, thigh, and calf. [6]
