Neuropathy
Neuropathy is dysfunction or damage to the body’s nerves. This subsequently changes the way these cells communicate with the brain and each other. Typical symptoms include pain, muscle weakness, tingling, and numbness. Muscle spasms and twitches could be warning signs that the disease is affecting the nerves that are responsible for controlling muscles. Neuropathy might occur in newborn babies or happen after infection, injury, or excessive consumption of alcohol. Diabetes is a major risk factor for the disease. Symptoms tend to begin in the feet and hands, but other body parts can also be affected. That’s why it is often known as peripheral neuropathy. [15]
