Loss of Consciousness
When a concussion happens, the brain twists or bounces in the skull. This brain movement would stretch and damage your brain cells or result in chemical changes. These effects would cause some people to lose consciousness. Keep in mind that not everyone with a concussion experience this symptom, but a few do. In fact, a loss of consciousness is the most obvious sign of this medical emergency. Make sure to see medical attention as soon as you notice someone blacks out after a fall or a blow to their head.
