Vomiting or Nausea and Confusion
Another possible sign of a concussion is vomiting or nausea. When the head is affected by an impact or fall, the autonomic nervous system would become upset. As a result, gut inflammation may happen and trigger nausea or vomiting. If you vomit repeatedly after a vehicle accident or after being hit in your head, this may suggest the presence of a concussion. Also, try to see whether you have an upset stomach or feel nauseated and seek medical attention. [4]
People with a concussion may feel confused or do not remember anything happened before. A brain injury would affect specific areas that are responsible for memory and information processing. Therefore, it is not uncommon for concentration or memory issues to happen. Find out whether they seem confused, have a blank stare, seem unfocused, or have difficulty remember simple things.
