6 Typical Symptoms of Concussion

Behavior or Mood Changes

Sudden changes in mood or behavior may indicate the presence of a concussion. After the fall or accident, they may become excessively emotional, sad, angry, or irritable without a clear reason. They would also lose interest in favorite activities or things. Sleeping and eating habits may change as well. Some people tend to eat more or less than usual or even lose the appetite, while others sleep too much or have difficulty sleeping.

In children, a concussion would make them cry more often than normal. This may be caused by other symptoms when crying is the only way they express their pain or discomfort caused by a concussion. [6]
