10 Symptoms of Pheochromocytoma

Headache

Epinephrine or adrenaline is a hormone produced by certain neurons and adrenal glands. It is often released in threatening situations, dangerous, or exciting situations. The purpose is to help the body react more quickly to these triggers. In people with pheochromocytoma, however, this substance is produced excessively. It causes the heart to beat more quickly and increases blood flow to other muscles and the brain. This eventually leads to headaches. Depending on individuals, the episode can last a few minutes or even hours.[3]
