10 Symptoms of Whooping Cough

Sneezing

Sneezing is an involuntary action, yeah but it is also a symptom that walks hand in hand with cold and nasal congestion. It involves the expulsion of air from the nose. In whooping cough, sneezing tends to occur more than usual or normal. A patient with whooping cough can go on to sneeze for a long time non-stop. Interestingly, this symptom can lead to a more serious case of a brain hemorrhage in a patient with whooping cough who had earlier been diagnosed with a cerebral aneurysm. This is because the sneezes are very forceful and in the process, pressure mounts up and ruptures a weakened vessel. [7]
