Deferred Development of Motor Skills
Another common symptom of Asperger syndrome is the deferred development of motor skills, especially in young children. They might be extremely clumsy and show robot-like movements which preclude normal growth. It is quite usual to see kids with Asperger syndrome have difficulties in throwing and catching a ball, learning how to ride a bicycle, or holding a pen correctly. In general, parents could help their children overcome this problem by practicing some basic activities. The key is to be patient and show them step-by-step guides. [3]
