Vitamin A – Health Benefits & Risks

Vitamin A and Bone Health

Vitamin D, calcium, and protein are key nutrients to maintain bone health. Nevertheless, consuming sufficient vitamin A is important for the development and growth of bones. A deficiency of this nutrient is associated with poor bone strength and a higher risk of fractures. However, the underlying link between bone health and vitamin A has not been clearly understood. More research is needed to verify this association. [4]
