Raised Chair
Similar to elevation, sitting in a raised chair can help with healing from a femur fracture. Choose a seat that is higher so that you do not need to make a deep bend while sitting down. If necessary, consider raising the seat with cushions or pillows. Do not stack them in an unstable pile or too high because an accident can worsen your injury. Find a chair with arms to provide more support and protection. Avoid sitting for longer than 45 minutes each time because blood cannot circulate properly. [11]
