Bread or Toast
Bread is a pretty source of carbohydrate or dietary fiber. It is an excellent choice of food to take when having diarrhea as it also helps to bind loose stools. Bread is made from a dough of flour and water and is naturally thick. Eating bread produces a type of fiber called insoluble fiber to the body. What Insoluble fiber does is to help to soften the content of the bowels and support regular bowel movement. Also, it helps to keep the bowel environment clean. Since diarrhea is caused by inflammation or irritation of the intestinal lining which hinders the absorption of water from food waste or even cause the intestinal lining to leak water, bread with its rich fiber content will help to absorb water leaving the processed food waste firm.
