Recommended Dosage
Inositol supplements are often available in 2 main types: D-chiro-inositol or DCI and myo-inositol or MYO. While there is still no widespread agreement on the best dosage and most effective option, recent studies have suggested the following recommended intakes for different conditions:
– Metabolic syndrome: 2 g MYO two times per day in 12 months
– Mental issues: 12 g to 18 g MYO one time per day in 1 month
– Type 2 diabetes: 1 g DCI one time per day in 6 months
– Gestational diabetes: 2 g MYO two times per day during pregnancy
– Polycystic ovary syndrome: 2 g MYO two times per day or 1.2 g DCI one time per day in 6 months
