Triggers of RSD
As said above, there are multiple causes of RSD. Therefore, the condition can be triggered by many factors. These include surgery, trauma, injury, degenerative arthritis in the neck, diabetes, stroke, heart disease, shoulder issues, infection, cancer, thyroid disorders, brain diseases, shingles, carpal tunnel, as well as side effects of some medications. However, it is estimated that there is no related trigger in around 30 percent of the reported cases. [4]
