1Nonsteroidal Anti-inflammatory Drugs

Many people with less severe lupus, with a tad rash or joint pain, take anti-inflammatory drugs, NSAIDs to manage the swelling and joint pain. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen, naproxen, and aspirin are the common over-the-counter medication, but a prescribed medication may be needed for severe lupus. Also, these medications can be helpful in managing fever, inflammation of the lungs lining and the heart.
