Stool Color
Bowel cancer can cause persistent rectal bleeding. As a result, your stool might look either darker than usual or bright red. It would even turn to black in more serious cases. More specifically, when the bleeding occurs in the left-side or descending colon, you might notice fresh, red stools. On the other hand, when bleeding occurs in the right-side or ascending colon, your stool might look more purple or maroon as the problem is happening far away from your rectum. If you do not have a tear or hemorrhoids, then it is better to seek medical attention to prevent further complications.
