What Does It Feel Like to Have a Seizure?

What Does a Non-Epileptic Seizure Feel Like?

Febrile Seizure

Febrile seizures usually occur in children due to a high fever. They would feel unconscious for a couple of minutes and feel drowsy after a seizure. Specific symptoms can vary, depending on the type of febrile seizures:

– Simple febrile seizures may cause a loss of consciousness, exhaustion or confusion after an attack, and shaking limbs in a rhythmic pattern. These symptoms mostly last no more than 2 minutes. They rarely occur more than once in a day.

– Complex febrile seizures may cause a loss of consciousness, shaking limbs, and temporary weakness in one leg or arm. These symptoms would last up to 30 minutes and occur more than once in a day. [6]
