What Is Parkinson’s Plus Syndrome?
Parkinson’s plus syndrome, also known as atypical Parkinson’s disease, is a group of neurological disorders that have similar symptoms to those of Parkinson’s disease. Due to these similarities, they are typically incorrectly diagnosed. A healthcare provider may need a physical exam and additional tests to diagnose these conditions. In most cases, Parkinson’s plus syndrome tends to be more severe, more quickly progressive, and more disabling than Parkinson’s disease. [1]
