Psychological Stress
Psychological stress can be a possible cause of schizophrenia. People with this condition tend to be very sensitive to change and stress. When you are under a lot of pressure, an episode can occur or even become worse. Also, stress is associated with many conditions like heart disease or high blood pressure, which can subsequently increase the risk of schizophrenia. Some common forms of psychological stress include traumas after imprisonment, natural disaster, water, sexual abuse, violence, or the loss of a loved one. [5]
