In many cases, the condition would cause a mass that is firm, painless and have an abnormal shape that is different from surrounding areas. Skin around the lump would be dimpled or red. The shape and size of the breast would change and there may be discharge from your nipple. Breast cancer may begin in one or both breasts. Although the condition almost happens in women, men would also get breast cancer. If left untreated, cancerous cells would get into the lymph system or blood and spread to other parts of the body.
