Sinus Headache – Diagnosis & Treatments

Decongestants

Some OTC decongestants would help alleviate pressure in the sinuses by removing blockages inside the nasal passages and improving drainage. You can purchase them in the form of oral medications or nasal sprays at most drugstores. Before starting, make sure to ask your healthcare provider so that there won’t be any effects on your health conditions. Ideally, it is not recommended to use decongestants more than 3 times per day. Otherwise, it would lead to swollen nasal passages. Avoid any products with zinc, which would result in some negative effects for your smelling functions. [6]
