Popping Sound
In healthy people, it should be silent when they move the shoulder joint around. So, if you notice any popping or cracking noises when doing this, it might indicate that you have an injury, especially a separated shoulder. To check it, rotate the shoulder around gently and look for any snapping or popping sounds. Keep in mind that this sign is more common in people with a grade three separation. This means the injury tends to be serious and might increase the risk of complications. Therefore, make sure to visit your healthcare provider as soon as possible to seek medical assistance.[6]
