Long-Term Outlook
Prolymphocytic leukemia is an aggressive type of chronic leukemia. Thus, the overall outlook is basically poor in the long term because it may spread very quickly. However, the survival rates and outcomes can vary a lot from person to person. A stem cell transplant is a potential cure for people with prolymphocytic leukemia even though not everyone is eligible for this procedure. In recent years, new treatments have helped improve survival rates and more research in new therapies is implementing to improve the outlook for those with this condition. [7]
