What Is Eczema?
Eczema, also known as atopic dermatitis, is a medical condition that causes itchy and red skin. Though it is more prevalent in children and young adults, symptoms may occur in people of any age groups. Eczema is chronic and likely to flare at regular intervals. It may be followed by hay fever or asthma. There is currently no cure for this disease. However, many self-care measures and treatments can help alleviate symptoms and prevent new flares. These include avoiding triggers, applying medicated ointments or creams, as well as regularly moisturizing. [1]
