Endometriosis
Endometriosis or endo is a common health issue in women. It occurs when the tissue endometrium, which usually lines the womb or uterus, grows outside of the uterus and develop into other body parts. In addition to ovaries, the condition also affects fallopian tubes, outer area of the uterus, and tissues holding the uterus. In some rare cases, endometriosis would appear in the skin, brain, or lungs. People with this condition might develop a special form of ovarian cyst known as endometrioma. The tissue might attach to their ovary and grow over time. These cysts lead to pain and discomfort during periods or sex. [5]
