Stages of Masked Faces
According to The Unified Parkinson’s Disease Rating Scale, there are 5 stages of a masked face. These include:
– Stage 0: Facial expression is still normal
– Stage 1: Slight symptoms with a poker face
– Stage 2: There is a slight, but unusual loss of facial movement
– Stage 3: A moderate loss of facial movement is present frequently
– Stage 4: A notable loss of facial movement is present frequently. [4]
