Hip Bursitis Symptoms

Swelling

Inflammation in the bursa may cause the affected area to become swollen and reddish. You can easily check for these signs by removing the clothing and examining the area. In some cases, there may be a bruise or a rash that covers your hip as well. These are possible symptoms of hip bursitis. Nevertheless, it is not always easy to notice them as the symptoms may be not visible, compared to elbow and knee bursitis. This is because the hip bursa is basically located below layers of soft tissues, muscle, and fat. [2]
