Risk Factors of Bell’s Palsy
Some people are at a higher risk of developing Bell’s palsy than others. These include diabetic patients, people with an infection in the upper respiratory, such as a lung infection, cold, or flu, or pregnant women, particularly those who are in the third trimester or in the first week after delivery. Recurrent attacks are rare. However, a family history of Bell’s palsy can also be a risk factor. [4]
