Genetics
Several genetic factors are associated with epilepsy. They tend to occur in childhood when there is a genetic defect in their iron receptors or channels. However, it is necessary to know that genes might not be the only cause in all cases of genetic epilepsy. When the condition runs in the family, it is most likely caused by one or several genetic elements. A few types with unknown triggers might also have some genetic factors that have not yet understood. [8]
