Epilepsy – Symptoms & Causes

Weakness

While weakness and tiredness are very common in our daily lives, people with epilepsy are more likely to be affected than others. This is because the condition can lead to many health issues, such as depression, disrupted sleep, or muscle contraction. The combination of these symptoms makes the body much more exhausted than usual. You can feel weakness in one side of the body or even both sides. With recurrent seizures, weakness often occurs in the same body region, which is quite similar to a stroke. However, it often disappears quickly after several minutes when the seizure ends. The problem is that a stroke can sometimes trigger a seizure, so it is not always easy to find out the underlying cause immediately. [2]
