Sleep Properly
In some cases, narcolepsy might limit the breathing and cause changes in the pattern when you are sleeping. A simple way to alleviate these signs is to sleep on your side. This will allow you to breathe more comfortably, particularly when you are suffering from a mild fever, sleep apnea, or gastric reflux. Consider propping a pillow under your head to provide support for the natural curve of the back and neck, thus improving airflow and breathing patterns. Do not sleep on the stomach as it would obstruct breathing, facilitate acid reflux, as well as result in unnecessary pressure on the body. [10]
