Multiple Sclerosis
Multiple sclerosis is a degenerative disease that can affect the central nervous system, particularly the optic nerves, spinal cord, and brain. Spasticity is a common sign of the condition. This means the muscles can contract involuntarily and become stiff or twitching. However, it is not a common cause of muscle spasms and twitches. Other typical symptoms of multiple sclerosis include weakness, tingling, numbness, fatigue, chronic pain, reduced sexual function, dizziness, vision issues, walking difficulty, and cognitive problems. The exact cause of the illness is still unclear, but major risk factors include genetics, being women, 20 to 40 age groups, smoking, and a deficiency of vitamin D or vitamin B12. [10]
