Different Triggers
Another difference between asthma and COPD might be the spectrum of triggers. As said above, asthma is often caused when you are directly exposed to physical exercises, cold air, and some environmental allergens like pet hair, mold, dust mites, pollen, or smoke. People with some disposed genetics will be at higher risks. COPD symptoms are mostly triggered by some infections in the respiratory tract, such as flu and pneumonia. However, some exposures to environmental pollutants can also lead to this health condition. This is a similarity with asthma. [6]
