Insertion of Implantable Cardiac Devices
Thanks to technology which has dramatically improved the lives of many by the invention of certain machines which help to support the body. Implanting a cardiac pacemaker is another treatment of congestive heart failure. A cardiac pacemaker is a small battery-operated computer called a pulse generator which is connected to the heart through one or more pacing leads. This artificial cardiac device listens to the heart and supplements the heart’s natural rate. Amazingly, this implant does not stop you from going about your physical activities after a few weeks of recovery. A cardiac pacemaker can last longer than five years depending on how it is used, but you are required to go for one or two medical checks per year. [4]
