Sciatica
Sciatica is pain which radiates alongside the path of your sciatic nerve, branching from the lower back through the buttocks, hips, and legs. This condition often affects just one side of the body. It most commonly happens when a herniated disk compresses the nerve, thus causing inflammation, numbness, and pain in the affected legs. Though the pain triggered by sciatica could be severe, most cases would be treated with non-operative measures in several weeks. Those people who suffer from severe sciatica that is related to considerable leg weakness or bladder or bowel changes might need surgery. [14]
