Ependymoma
This type of tumor typically starts in ependymal cells that line your ventricles. It would range from grade 2 tumors to grade 3 conditions. Around 2% of the cases are diagnosed with ependymomas. The tumor can spread along your cerebrospinal fluid pathways to other areas inside the spinal cord or brain. In some cases, it might even limit the exit of these paths from your ventricles, which causes them to swell. Unlike oligodendrogliomas and astrocytomas, ependymomas will not develop in normal brain tissues. Therefore, some cases can be completely eliminated and treated by surgery. But this can be a challenging process. [3]
