Eye Pain
In many cases, glaucoma is often not painful until the later stages. This is because the pressure inside the eyes tends to increase slowly and gradually. However, people with a special form called acute angle-closure glaucoma might experience pain. The symptom would be severe and might lead to other health issues, such as headaches, vomiting, and nausea. In these cases, the pressure goes up quickly and triggers pain. Emergent medical attention and treatment are required. Otherwise, glaucoma would lead to permanent damage or even blindness. [6]
