Kidney Dialysis
Also known as renal replacement therapy, kidney dialysis might be necessary when this organ can’t filter your blood as usual. During this process, a portable dialysis device enables patients to have dialysis when the kidney fails. A special catheter can be inserted into the large vein and connected to this dialysis device. Blood will flow through the device, thus filtering toxins and harmful components in the blood as the kidney often does. After this procedure, blood will flow back to the body. [7]
