Apathy
Apathy, otherwise called listlessness, is often experienced in the early stages of dementia. A person with dementia will find himself no longer interest in activities they often found fun and engaging. They stop playing their favorite video game, sport, don’t want to play the piano anymore. In some instances, they prefer to remain indoors and stay idle. More so, such person may not find interest in spending quality time with their families and friends, and often seem to appear emotionally flat to everyone.
